Kate Veronneau joined Zwift in 2016. During this time, Kate has been responsible for spearheading Zwift’s major initiatives, including the Zwift Academy. Zwift Academy is a groundbreaking, global talent ID competition that launched in 2016 to uncover the next cycling talent and award a contract with Women’s WorldTeam CANYON//SRAM Racing. Since then, Zwift Academy has helped start the professional careers of six talented women, also expanding to offer a men’s competition. Before her career in marketing, Kate was a professional cyclist in the US. Prior to this, Kate played Division 1 Basketball at Brown University. Having first hand experience of elite and professional sport gives Kate great perspective and credibility as she understands the problems and opportunities as both a sponsor and a former athlete.
