Bio

Mr Ibrahima WADE, born on 21 June 1965 in Thiès – Senegal, is Chief Inspector of the Exceptional Class Treasury, graduated from the National School of Administration of Senegal. He is currently General Coordinator of the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games. He was Minister, Secretary General of the Government of Senegal (May 2001 - August 2005), Permanent Secretary of the Accelerated Growth Strategy (March 2006 - July 2014) and Director General of the Operational Monitoring Office of the Emerging Senegal Plan (July 2014 – June 2019). Previously, he participated in the negotiation of multilateral and bilateral financing agreements for various projects and programmes in Senegal. He is certified by Harvard University (Harvard Institute for International Development of Cambridge - Massachusetts, USA) in "Program on Budgeting and Financial Management in the Public Sector". He holds a diploma in Banking from the Centre d'Etudes Financières Economiques et Bancaires de Paris, a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Public Law from the University of Dakar, a Certificate of Aptitude to the Profession of Lawyer from the Bar of Dakar. He is a member of several international think tanks, including the Strategic Orientation Council of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and President of the Regional Strategic Orientation Council (CROS) West Africa of the AUF. Mr WADE is President of the Senegalese Federation of Equestrian Sports and Vice-President of the Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSS)
